PolyBlend Rx™ Suppository Base
PolyBlend Rx is an anhydrous granular form pharmaceutical base used in the preparation of suppositories when a water-soluble or water-miscible base is preferred. PolyBlend Rx consists of varying molecular weight polyethylene glycols, a suspending agent, and functional emulsifiers. Due to the specific polyethylene glycols used in this proprietary blend, PolyBlend Rx exhibits excellent stability at room temperature. Melting point: 50.0 to 60.0°C (122 to 140°F).
PolyBlend Rx releases active pharmaceutical ingredients by dissolving rather than melting, providing an extended disintegration time. Recommended for vaginal and rectal suppositories with a long history of use in pharmaceutical applications worldwide. Includes an added suspending agent and emulsifiers that help with dispersibility and bioavailability of hydrophobic actives. Exhibits excellent mold release characteristics -mold lubrication is not required. Ingredients meet the requirements of USP-NF.

Do you provide expiry dates and Certificates of Analysis?
Compounding Chemicals is a TGA licenced supplier. We ship all chemicals with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and adequate / long expiry on all material. If material is short dated, our customer service team will contact you prior to shipping to confirm. Most items have the expiry date and Certificate of Analysis available on our website for your convenience.
