CAS Number: 57-55-6. High purity Propylene Glycol that meets the current USP/NF monograph requirements.
(IUPAC name: propane-1,2-diol), a-propylene glycol, 1,2-propanediol, 1,2-dihydroxypropane, methyl ethyl glycol (MEG), methylethylene glycol, PG, Sirlene, Dowfrost®.
A clear viscous, colorless liquid, which is nearly odorless and possesses a faintly sweet taste. Its chemical formula is CH3CH(OH)CH2OH. Propylene Glycol contains two alcohol groups, it is classed as a diol. It's miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water, acetone, and chloroform. In general, glycols are non-irritating and have very low volatility.

Compounding Chemicals is a TGA licenced supplier. We ship all chemicals with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and adequate / long expiry on all material. If material is short dated, our customer service team will contact you prior to shipping to confirm. Most items have the expiry date and Certificate of Analysis available on our website for your convenience.
